• Plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program in alignment with state and school standards.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students with academic, social‑emotional and behavioral needs.
• Facilitate counseling curriculum lessons that support social‑emotional learning and positive school climate.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and community agencies to mobilize resources and support student success.
• Assist in the development of student mental health plans and individualized education plans and advocate for students at all related team meetings.
• Analyze disaggregated data to inform program effectiveness and student outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed in coordination with the school mental health staff.

• Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior.
• Engages diversity and difference in practice.
• Trains and collaborates with staff on positive behavioral supports.
• Communicates effectively with students, families, educators and community partners.
• Maintains organization, time‑management and documentation skills.
• Applies data‑based decision making to improve student and school outcomes.

• State certification as a school counselor or equivalent credentials.
• School counseling experience preferred.
• Background check required.

• Typical duties performed in school and office settings.
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds (occasionally 40 pounds).
• Flexibility required to perform duties throughout the division.

• Criminal history background check required.
