Summary
The Hardware Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of hardware development projects for gaming platforms and slot cabinets. This role ensures that all hardware components—from design through production and field deployment—meet quality, performance, and regulatory standards. The Project Manager oversees cross‑functional collaboration among engineering, manufacturing, compliance, and software integration teams to deliver products that are compliant, reliable, and market‑ready.
Responsibilities- Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to plan and assign deliverables aligned with project schedules.
- Partner with Product Management to define hardware scope and technical requirements for new gaming platforms, cabinets, peripherals, and accessories.
- Convert scope of work into a comprehensive hardware project plan, defining timelines, milestones, and deliverables from prototype through mass production.
- Coordinate with compliance, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure all hardware components meet applicable GLI, jurisdictional, and safety certifications.
- Facilitate design reviews, prototype builds, and integration testing to ensure smooth collaboration between hardware and software development teams.
- Track all Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and communicate impacts to schedules, budgets, and dependencies across departments.
- Utilize Microsoft Azure Dev Ops or other project management tools to maintain visibility into project progress, risks, and milestones.
- Oversee third‑party lab submissions, ensuring all required documentation, samples, and configurations are prepared for timely approval.
- Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing partners to ensure readiness for production, including BOM validation, sourcing, and assembly readiness.
- Monitor and report on project health using dashboards and performance metrics to drive accountability and on‑time delivery.
- Schedule and facilitate cross‑functional meetings to maintain momentum, address issues, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce time to market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing hardware or manufacturing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven experience managing end‑to‑end hardware development, from concept and prototype through production and release.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing mitigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with development methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall) applied to hardware or hybrid software‑hardware projects.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence and motivate teams toward shared goals.
- Experience managing slot cabinet or gaming terminal hardware projects.
- Working knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Solid Works PDM, or similar hardware project tracking systems.
- Understanding of electrical safety, EMI/EMC standards, and other relevant hardware compliance requirements.
