MTSI is seeking an experienced Airworthiness Subject Matter Expert Advisor to support our flight test division in Las Vegas, NV.
Candidate tasks may include:- Assist airworthiness authorities with the generation of modification packages for configuration changes to legacy platforms
- Advise airworthiness authorities on the content, scope, and artifacts required for modification packages
- Provide long-term continuity for airworthiness experience
- Plan modification roadmaps, ensuring team support is available when required and deconflicting overlapping modifications
- Conduct local airworthiness training for new personnel and provide experienced guidance and advice to develop younger airworthiness expertise
- Minimum 5 years airworthiness experience
- Experience developing the content and scope of airworthiness modification packages
- Experience with military aviation, specifically in an engineering field
Experience:
- 10+ years airworthiness experience in a military or military‑adjacent organization, such as a contractor (non‑FAA)
- Former technical airworthiness authority (TAA)
- Experience with modification T‑2 packages
Bachelor's degree in engineering, STEM or related field.
Travel Requirements:Approximately 10% travel may be required. Non‑traditional work hours may be required for exercise execution events. Expectation is that work will be performed on‑site.
Clearance Requirements:Current Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain access to Special Access Required (SAR) Programs and Special Technical Operations (STO) required.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
