Your ImpactAs an Architect professional in our Data Centers group, you will contribute to projects that lay the foundation for our clients’ data center facilities engineering, design and construction. You will work on projects including the engineering and design of data centers and other mission‑critical facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality, gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget and schedule.
This is a hybrid US location‑flexible role.
You will work in a multi‑discipline, highly interactive team to successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products. You will perform all aspects of architecture and design, independently applying advanced engineering techniques and analysis. You will develop designs that require innovation and ingenuity, work with little supervision, review the discipline team’s work for adequacy, and provide technical guidance to drafters, designers and engineers.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with designers and engineers as an Architect/Architectural Designer to engage clients and subcontractors, designing advanced data center facilities and producing construction documents.
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment, evaluation, selection and adaptation of architectural techniques and criteria.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
- Perform calculation checking of others’ work.
- Collaborate with other designers in layout, technical design, construction drawings, specifications and model creation.
- Attend project meetings and actively resolve concerns across disciplines.
- Participate in and champion internal, cross‑discipline and external project quality reviews.
- Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to client and contractor questions, and performing field walks.
- Deliver technical and business presentations to clients and employees.
- Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others.
- Participate in developing proposals, budgets and schedules for process‑specific work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Professional Architectural License; able to be licensed in multiple states.
- 1‑2 years of professional Architectural Design experience.
- Expert‑level proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, Sketch Up and Adobe Suite.
- Knowledge of building codes and their applicability to industrial facilities.
- Understanding of scopes of work, developing budgets and reviewing schedules.
- Ability to work well across multiple teams and lead small architectural teams.
- Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Experience designing data centers and industrial manufacturing facilities.
