Job Description:

Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants has immediate openings for a Soils and Materials Field Technician in Las Vegas, Nevada. Experience in construction inspection, soils and materials testing, and appropriate field certification is a plus. The successful candidate will have knowledge regarding the standard test methods for field density testing of soil utility backfill, mass grading, paving subgrade, proof-rolling observation experience, as well as field concrete sampling and testing.

• Conduct construction inspection and soils and materials testing in the field.
• Perform field density testing of soil (utility backfill, mass grading, paving subgrade) and proof-rolling observations.
• Collect and test field concrete samples.

• Experience in soils field testing and a current radiation user safety certificate.
• Experience with field testing of concrete with current ACI Field I certification; asphalt experience is ideal but not required.

• Excellent mathematical, verbal and written communication skills; positive attitude; good organizational skills; strong work ethic.
• Must have a current valid driver s license.
