Job DescriptionUses video systems and associated software to continuously observe all gaming and gaming-related areas for any deviations, abnormality or unusual activity as defined by law, regulation and in-house policies and procedures. Knowledge of Gaming Standards and Regulations, and all Tables Games and Casino Procedures, possess the ability to lead, protects the assets of Sahara Las Vegas and ensures Gaming compliance. Train Team Members in Policy and Procedures also Table Games rules, protection, and Regulations.
Job Focus- Makes detailed written reports or follow-up reports on incidents that occur on the property.
- Oversees the Quality and Accuracy of Lead and operators' written reports.
- Ensures proper workplace ethics and promotes a positive work environment.
- Works closely with Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies while conducting investigations.
- Works closely with all departments, delegates workload for the shift.
- Any and all duties as directed by the Surveillance Manager and or the Director of Surveillance.
- Responsible for continually monitoring the hotel and casino operations to ensure adherence to the state gaming regulations, in-house internal controls and company policies and procedures.
- Checks all surveillance equipment at the start of the shift to ensure these are in good working condition, performs daily Pre-Shift, keeps track of Vacation requests (PTO).
- Views the casino areas for identification of suspicious activities, cheating, and theft.
- Maintains the daily logs, checks for content accuracy and grammar in Incident files.
- Assists Security in protecting the welfare of the employees and guests of the casino and hotel.
- Coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement in the investigation of criminal activity that occurred on company property.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- At least three (3) years in a Surveillance Department as a Lead Operator in a casino resort.
- Familiar with Gaming Standards and Regulations.
- Knowledge of all Tables, Games, and Casino Procedures.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations and Title 31.
- Knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws, and Nevada Revised Statutes.
- Possess the ability to lead, protect the assets of Sahara Las Vegas, and ensure Gaming compliance.
- Have a good understanding of all Surveillance software, iTrak, BJSurvey, AS/400, Konami, and Office.
- Understanding of Surveillance Policy and Procedures, ability to train surveillance Team Members.
- A valid Nevada Gaming license is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
