DescriptionThe Strat (Las Vegas, NV) – Maintain the appearance of the pool to hotel standards at all times. Monitor all activity at the pool, enforce rules, and provide assistance to guests as needed. Provide outstanding guest service at all times.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Open or close the pool during assigned shifts
- Greet and offer assistance or instructions to guests in the pool
- Ensure all guests follow pool rules
- Schedule cabana usage and maintain overall cleanliness of the cabanas
- Manage cash bank throughout the shift and ensure balance is accurate at the end of the shift
- Process and verify all transactions, ensuring proper settlement of cash transactions and proper scanning into Info genesis for credit transactions
- Retain receipts for all transactions and reconcile transactions in the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a presentable cashiering area, including sweeping and dusting to keep it clean at all times
- Ensure adequate supplies are available for the shift, including ribbons, comp paper, cash drop envelopes, and printer paper
- Maintain pool in a clean and attractive condition
- Report any safety hazards to the pool manager or lead lifeguard
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- One to three months related experience or training preferred
- Proven experience providing a high level of guest service
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations
- Ability to effectively communicate in both one‑on‑one and group settings
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (50% of the time)
- Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces (over 75% of the time)
- Frequently walk, stand or stoop (over 75% of the time)
- Speech, hearing, literacy, and vision (critical)
- Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions (over 75% of the time)
