About the Role

Controller – TEAM Construction – Las Vegas

The Controller’s key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing Financial Statements
• Preparing and presenting financial documents to understand the financial state of the business
• Monthly WIPS
• Monthly Financial Forecast Meetings
• Developing and maintaining internal policies and procedures related to company finances
• Supervising employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets
• Monitoring a company’s financial reports and determining ways to reduce costs
• Keeping up to date on the financial market to maximize profit and find new expansion areas
• Understanding the financials of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the finances in good standing
• Coordinating and directing budgeting and financial planning
• Creating Job Budgets and Job Forecasts
• Establishing, maintaining, and overseeing financial controls of all projects
• Responsible for timely, accurate and efficient accounting close on a monthly basis
• Managing accounting functions on a day‑to‑day basis including invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, procurement, and general ledger accounting
• Enhancing the accounting department’s use of software and integrating software into accounting processes and procedures
• Assisting the CFO/Owner with preparation and completion of fiscal year taxes, evaluating business performance, and developing yearly financial goals
