Inventory and Cost Accountant

Empire Technological Group Limited dba Aruze gaming Global is looking to add an Inventory and Cost Accountant to our team!

Las Vegas

• Analyze and interpret financial data to determine the cost structure of products, services, or projects.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs against budgeted costs and identify discrepancies.
• Reconcile the inventory subledger to the ledger on a monthly basis.
• Participate in monthly close process including journal entries, reconciliations and reports.
• Prepare cost reports, financial statements, and cost forecasts for management, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Assist in the creation and management of budgets, helping to align financial objectives with organizational goals.
• Calculate and maintain accurate product costs, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Develop and maintain costing models to assist in pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
• Monitor inventory levels, assess carrying costs, and support inventory valuation processes.
• Provide support to the Operations Team during cycle counts and physical inventory counts and actively participate in reconciling count discrepancies, reviewing postings, and reporting overall results.
• Implement and maintain a standard costing system to allocate costs more accurately to products or services based on their consumption of resources.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction and provide recommendations for operational enhancements.
• Collaborate with various departments, including production, procurement, and finance, to gather cost-related data and provide financial support.
• Support in estimating costs for new products, projects, or contracts.
• External audit and compliance support around inventory and COGS as delegated.
• Other duties as requested and /or assigned.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Management Accountant - CMA) is often preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting methods.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with different teams.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience in cost accounting or related roles is an advantage.
