Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst
This position is part of the Risk Management department. Our risk professionals are tasked with identifying revenue opportunities and risk trends by monitoring the performance of our existing portfolio, growth opportunities, and general market trends. We develop and implement strategies for credit line increases, authorizations, collection, fraud, retention, and the sale of revenue-based products.
In the role of Risk Analyst, the position will primarily be responsible for driving the Bank’s incremental growth through Multiple Account Acquisition strategies. This position will focus on evaluating, analyzing, and reporting the impact and performance of digital and direct mail acquisition strategies, as well as conducting analyses to evaluate the risk of new and existing programs.
Essential job responsibilities include managing your own program and forecast, developing and maintaining reports to track volume growth and vintage performance and profitability, and making recommendations for opportunities for incremental growth.
Key Responsibilities- Help deliver profitable growth through the development of new strategies and the optimization of existing strategies through the assessment of credit risk and P&L drivers
- Explore new areas of opportunity for incremental growth through testing of new scores and products
- Leverage advanced analytical tools and algorithms to deliver accretive strategies across targeting, universe expansion, and product mix optimization
- Develop presentations to share insights and recommendations to senior management
- Lead analyses to evaluate the risk and profitability of new and existing programs across the entire credit spectrum
- Collaborate across multiple departments such as Marketing, Data source, Campaign Execution, etc. to achieve effectiveness and efficiency and deliver on business goals
- Provide insights from external and unconventional data sources to help explore competitive landscape
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Math or related field.
- 2-4 years' analytical experience in Banking, Finance, Insurance or Gaming.
- 2-4 years' advanced use of at least one of the following:
Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle, or SAS. - Intellectual horsepower with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in data mining and financial modeling procedures.
- Self-starter, who can work independently with a high degree of organization on several projects at one time.
- Sufficient self-confidence and ability to propose new ideas/solutions.
- Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Knowledge of financial analysis and profitability drivers.
- Advanced degree
- Consumer Credit Card industry experience
- Experience in digital and direct mail markets and online acquisitions.
