The Financial Analyst analyzes portfolio performance with respect to consumer credit risk as of focus include the yield/risk balance of underwriting structure/credit policy and the business impact of new products and programs. Analyses support credit operations, sales, and finance operations by providing clear and concise assessments used for decision making on a $3B loan portfolio. Although this is a fully remote role, applicants must reside within a commutable distance to Las Vegas, NV to attend regular meetings.

How

You'll Shine
  • Analyze risk in the loan portfolio including originations trends, credit quality, and default performance.
  • Provide decision support to management team by querying, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings with recommendations on underwriting structure/credit decisioning.
  • Configure special financing opportunities to support strategic objectives and partner with other departments to ensure effective implementation of select financing programs.
  • Assess the performance of financing programs and promotions.
  • Conduct ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarization of findings, and presentation of results for areas such as portfolio performance and new origination acquisition strategies.
  • Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in portfolio performance to management.
  • Learn innovative ways to visualize and digest complex data.
  • Work directly with internal business partners to manage internal systems related to portfolio information and financing options.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance from an accredited four-year institution. MBA a plus.
  • Systematic problem solver with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to engage in collaborative or independent work to develop a strong understanding of current reports and processes.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with senior management and peers.
  • Advanced technical skillset including:
    • MS Applications specifically strong or expert level Microsoft Excel skill level.
    • Understanding and experience working with relational databases.
    • Query and Data Visualizations.
    • Financial modeling.
    • Consumer behavior predictive modeling.
  • Demonstrate success in managing multiple projects within strict deadlines.
  • Experience in consumer loan/lease portfolio performance.
  • Experience in consumer loan underwriting.
  • Understanding of credit analytics and of credit scoring models.
  • Understanding of the metrics utilized in monitoring the performance of a consumer lending portfolio.
  • Experience with dashboard building or data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power

    BI.
  • 2+ years in analytics or financial reporting and analysis role.
