Clinical Pharmacist

Location: Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, NV

Hourly wage estimate: $58.33 - $75.83 / hour

Job Summary: As a Clinical Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and effective use of medications. You will monitor and evaluate prescribed therapies, promote optimal drug use, and provide evidence-based guidance to reduce risks of drug misadventures.

Responsibilities:

• Interact daily with pharmacy teams, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff to intervene in conflicts regarding drug therapy issue resolutions.
• Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, laboratory test orders, and medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures.
• Participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or Pharm
  
  D from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of one year of hospital experience.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required depending on the area of work.
