As a Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and effective use of medications as needed. The Clinical Pharmacist monitors and evaluates prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug use and evidence‑based practices to reduce risks of drug misadventures.
- Interact daily with pharmacy team, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff; intervene in conflicts between pharmacy and medical staff regarding drug‑therapy issue resolutions.
- Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, order laboratory tests, and medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures.
- Participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.
- Bachelor of Science or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
- One year of acute‑care hospital experience.
