Do you enjoy helping others grow and succeed? Elevations Adult Day Services is looking for caring and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building life skills, independence, and confidence — all in a safe, structured, and fun environment.
✅ Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with daily routines such as personal hygiene, meal prep, and social interaction
- Teach and assist with life skills (e.g., making the bed, laundry, brushing teeth, cooking)
- Engage participants in academic and enrichment activities (math, reading, writing, arts, and more)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress, incidents, and attendance
- Redirect inappropriate behaviors using trained behavior support strategies
- Create a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity
- Follow all Elevations policies and uphold a professional, team-oriented attitude
🎯
What You’ll Do:
- Teach and support individuals in mastering life skills (cooking, hygiene, laundry, money handling, etc.)
- Assist with academic and pre-vocational activities (reading, writing, basic math, job training)
- Manage a small group in structured classroom-style settings with daily goals
- Support individuals through challenging behaviors with positive redirection and trained interventions
- Document daily progress, attendance, and behavioral incidents in clear and timely notes
- Communicate with floor leads and supervisors about individual support needs
- Keep individuals engaged, safe, and on task throughout the day

- Comfortable redirecting behaviors or stepping in when needed
- Strong at following routines and documentation procedures
- Can work independently and as part of a team
📝 Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with IDD or behavior support needs (preferred but not required)
- Must pass background check and complete required training
- Must be 18+ and have reliable, on-time transportation
