Our client is a large Hospital in Las Vegas. This position directs the facility Infection Prevention (IP) and Control programs, assesses regulatory compliance and ongoing IP readiness, and oversees clinical IP programs while promoting patient safety. The role involves assessing reporting compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), state and local reporting agencies, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) standard surveillance definitions, and overseeing IP surveillance and the collection, analysis, and reporting of IP data.
- Master's in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, clinical Microbiology, or other health related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in a health related field
- Two (2) years experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology leadership role
- Current national certification in Infection Control (CIC)
