Pay Range: $76–$118 per hour (based on experience)
Position SummaryPlans and optimizes radiation and imaging dosimetry to ensure accurate dose delivery and radiation safety for patients and staff. Collaborates with radiology residents, fellows, and faculty in patient diagnosis and treatment, supports radiation safety programs, optimizes imaging protocols, and develops and presents physics curriculum for residency training.
Requirements- Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of diagnostic medical physics clinical experience
- American Board of Radiology (A ) certification
- Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) certification
- Plan and optimize radiation and imaging dosimetry
- Perform equipment acceptance testing, annual testing, shielding calculations, and QA/QC
- Support and participate in radiation safety program reviews
- Optimize imaging protocols to minimize radiation exposure
- Collaborate on research, education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and present medical physics curriculum for residency didactics
- Ability to work indoors in a radiology setting with prolonged concentration
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs as needed
- Must wear radiation monitoring devices (film badge) and follow hospital radiation safety policies
