DESCRIPTION

* This position is Part Time 20 hours a week **

This position is part-time at 20 hours per week, including at least one weekend day. Services can be scheduled anytime between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Eagle Quest has current openings for Behavioral Health Support Specialists to join our growing team! This position offers an opportunity for rewarding work with children, youth, and families. Many of our youth are available after school and on weekends, making afternoons, evenings, and weekends the heart of our work.

Most of the workday is spent in the field, traveling between homes and community settings across the Las Vegas valley. Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one Family Stabilization Services to children and teens with behavioral health needs, in the home and community
  • Use psychoeducation and family stabilization strategies to help youth regain balance, reduce crisis events, and support the health and safety of youth and their caregivers
  • Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings, Direct Supervision sessions, and Team Meetings
  • Maintain regular communication with Foster Parents, Case Managers, and other team members
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation for each service
  • As openings arise, take on additional cases in our Respite program and with our Safe at Home Team, offering variety, additional hours, and broader experience across our continuum of care
Job Requirements:
  • A conferred bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields:
    Behavioral Science, Child Development, Child and Family Studies/Services, Community Mental Health, Counseling (mental health, vocational, rehabilitative, or pastoral), Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Development/Relations, Human Services, Marriage and Family Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Speech and Language Therapy, or Therapeutic Recreation
  • OR a conferred associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the fields above, and additional understanding of outpatient treatment services, rehabilitative treatment services, and case file documentation requirements, demonstrated through a minimum of four (4) years of verified
    * relevant professional experience as a Qualified Behavioral Aide (QBA) delivering direct services to individuals with behavioral health disorders
  • At least one year of experience working with at-risk children, youth, and/or families (two or more years preferred)
  • Experience working with families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Ability to complete and pass an FBI and local background check
  • Ability to pass a Nevada CANS (Child Abuse & Neglect) screening
  • Current Nevada driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation for use throughout the workday

Required:
  • An NPI (National Provider Identifier) number, current with Medicaid, is a plus!
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!
