Runner - Citrus Pool

POSITION SUMMARY:

It is the primary responsibility of the Runner to welcome all hotel guests to the pool, as well as assisting in ensuring the pool area is clean and secure. The Runner ensures correct and efficient food delivery to all guests, maintains the cleanliness and organization of all supplies, equipment and work areas.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Welcome all guests to the pool by greeting guests courteously and consistently.
• Deliver food and beverage to guests with urgency and pleasant demeanor.
• Assists in preventing restricted items such as glass, coolers, and personal rafts from entering the pool.
• Set all umbrellas and lounge chairs into position daily.
• Set cabana items out for display daily.
• Ensures the overall safety of pool guests.
• Provides enthusiastic, outstanding guest service at all times.
• Maintains a strong working relationship with co-workers.
• Maintains complete knowledge of various hotel outlets, VIP guests, hours of operation, and safety and sanitation regulations.
• Maintains cleanliness through assisting with picking up towels, trash and debris.
• Resolves guest complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Reports any accidents or unusual incidents to management and security in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through responsiveness to guest needs.
• Maintain a well-groomed neat and clean appearance, carrying out duties with attention to sanitation safety.
• Perform side work duties on daily basis and other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
• Must be able to comprehend all information and documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Withstand prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.
• Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.
