Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and executing day-to-day HR operations while serving as a trusted advisor to employees and managers. This role covers the full employee lifecycle including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, with a strong emphasis on hands‑on support.
Essential Functions:
- Strategic Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees on HR policy interpretation, employee relations, and operational needs; investigate, mediate, and resolve workplace issues; collaborate with Global HR team to align policies; partner with leadership on change management and employee retention; support recruitment and onboarding; deliver HR training; coach leaders on performance management.
- Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Systems: Support HR system optimization and maintain employee records; act as primary contact for ADP processes; manage benefits strategy and administration; ensure accurate benefit changes; oversee leave of absence cases.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies; manage leaves of absence; run HRIS reports; support workforce analytics; oversee workers’ compensation claims; coordinate with insurance carriers.
- Other Duties: Occasional travel to Pittsburgh office; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Able to work independently as well as in group settings.
- Strategic thinker.
- SHRM or SPHR certification a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
