POSITION OVERVIEW
The Employee Relations/Labor Relations Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support in maintaining positive Member relations within the organization. This role focuses on assisting with Member concerns, managing documentation, and facilitating a harmonious work environment. The specialist works closely with the People team and acts as a point of contact for basic Member relations inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Assist with responding to Member inquiries related to workplace policies, procedures, and benefits
- Help in documenting and tracking complaints, concerns, and inquiries, ensuring their timely resolution
- Collaborate with the People team to gather information, conduct preliminary investigations, and support the resolution of employee issues
- Maintain accurate and organized records and documentation
- Support the People team in implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist in communicating policy updates to Members, ensuring their understanding and compliance
- Help ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies
- Assist in maintaining Member records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials related to Member relations activities as needed
- Help generate routine reports, such as headcount, turnover, and employee satisfaction metrics
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized templates and forms
- Collaborate with the People team to contribute ideas and strategies to improve morale and engagement
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One (1) year of experience in a Human Resources administrative role
- Previous administrative experience in an office environment is desirable
- Basic knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR policies is a plus
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
