The Senior Salesforce QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of all Salesforce platform deliverables across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service, Contract Management, Finance, and CPQ. The role includes validating system functionality, data integrity, and user access while coordinating testing efforts with other IT portfolios, CPQ, and ERP platforms. The analyst will work closely with developers, QA teams, project managers, and business partners to maintain high-quality standards and ensure successful delivery of Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Validate Salesforce data security and sharing rules according to user profiles and public groups.
- Test and validate reports and dashboards based on roles and role hierarchies.
- Verify Salesforce standard and custom objects, page layouts, field validations, and user access against defined profiles.
- Validate workflow rules, approval processes, and validation rules for proper functionality.
- Use Data Loader to insert, update, and bulk import/export data.
- Conduct data migration between environments and validate data accuracy.
- Develop detailed test scripts and cases; log defects in the QC environment.
- Perform GUI, functional, regression, retesting, usability, acceptance, and smoke testing.
- Collaborate with QA team members, developers, project managers, and clients to resolve issues.
- Participate in technical and use case review meetings to provide input and feedback.
- Engage in user acceptance testing to ensure business requirements are met.
- Review functional requirements, test scenarios, and test cases for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide daily status updates to QA managers, team members, and developers.
- Coordinate knowledge transfers and support for onsite/offshore teams as needed.
- Prepare documentation on testing progress, test coverage, and status updates for stakeholders.
- Test Salesforce1 Mobile App, custom objects, fields, page layouts, custom tabs, reports, and other platform components.
- Validate setup, configuration, and customization.
- Run database queries using Workbench to verify and manage test data in Salesforce.
- 3+ years of Salesforce QA experience, with hands-on testing of Salesforce standard and custom functionalities.
- Proficiency in Data Loader and Salesforce environment data management.
- Experience with test script creation, defect logging, and QA documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, roles, profiles, workflows, approvals, and validation rules.
- Familiarity with GUI, functional, regression, usability, acceptance, and smoke testing methods.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience testing Salesforce CPQ, ERP integrations, and cross-portfolio projects.
- Familiarity with Salesforce1 Mobile App testing and mobile platform components.
- Experience with Workbench for advanced data queries and testing purposes.
- Exposure to global Salesforce implementations and multi-environment testing.
