IT Engineer II

We’re seeking a forward‑thinking IT Engineer to help design, automate, and secure our growing technology ecosystem. The role focuses on systems architecture, hands‑on development, and scaling automation across the enterprise.

• Technical Strategy & System Design: partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, user‑centric solutions.
• Automation & Integration Development: build and maintain automations using REST APIs, scripting languages (Python, JavaScript/Type Script) and workflow platforms (e.g., Okta Workflows, Workato, Zapier).
• AI & Emerging Technology Enablement: leverage AI‑assisted tools to accelerate development, incident response, and documentation.
• Operational Reliability & Security: enhance reliability of critical IT services, implement monitoring, alerting, and governance practices.
• Incident Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analyses, and deliver durable fixes.

  create and maintain documentation, playbooks, diagrams, and mentor teammates.

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Administration, or Solutions Engineering in a SaaS or enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of modern SaaS ecosystems, SSO/SCIM integrations, and identity/access management (Okta, Azure AD).
• Hands‑on experience coding and automating with APIs and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript/Type Script).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver measurable results in a fast‑paced environment.

• Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Okta Workflows, Workato, Zapier, Tines.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development (Copilot, ChatGPT, Code Whisperer).
• Knowledge of SaaS management and governance frameworks.
• Background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Dev Ops practices.
• Strong analytical mindset.
• Experience working with distributed, cross‑functional teams.

Pay Grade: I
Equity Grade: 4

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits.

• USA Pacific (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT): $115,000 - $155,000
• USA Sapphire (all other U.S. states): $102,000 - $142,000

Affirm is a remote‑first company. Roles are remote across the U.S. with occasional in‑office requirements. The majority of roles are remote and can be worked from anywhere within the country.
