Summary
Allegiant is seeking a Sr. Network Cloud Engineer I with strong AWS and cloud networking experience. The position reports to the Manager of Network and Telephony and is a subject‑matter expert (SME) for cloud networking, overseeing on‑prem and cloud connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect, SD‑WAN integration, etc.).

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field preferred.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (or equivalent).
- AWS Architect Associate certification.
Years of
Experience:
Minimum six (6) years in a related field.
- Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals and networking concepts.
- Proficient with traditional networking in data centers, campus, and branch environments (routers, switches, wireless, load balancing, firewalls).
- Experience with AWS Direct Connect, VPCs, Transit Gateways, security groups, ALB/NLB.
- DNS and Route
53 expertise. - Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail.
- Next‑gen firewalls (IDS/IPS, DLP, content filtering, anti‑malware, DDoS).
- SIEM & syslog.
- SFlow/Net Flow/flow logs.
- Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Nexus, and Catalyst switches.
- Cisco wireless.
- F5 load balancers and AWS ALB/NLB load balancers.
- Spanning‑tree, port‑channeling, Nexus vPCs.
- BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing.
- Management and monitoring tools.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional.
- AWS Advanced Networking certification.
- Active Directory experience in on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Drive the organization’s migration to the cloud and future cloud initiatives.
- Identify, implement, and support tools and processes for managing on‑prem and cloud networked environments.
- Ensure availability, scalability, and security in on‑prem or cloud deployments.
- Keep abreast of latest cloud trends, best practices, and service offerings.
- Collaborate with systems and security teams to operationally support the cloud environment and troubleshoot critical issues.
- Maintain infrastructure support documentation (IPAM, diagrams, standards, policies & procedures).
- Maintain DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and third‑party management tools (Cisco Prime/DNA, Whats Up Gold , Nagios, App Dynamics, Riverbed, others).
- Serve as a member of the larger networking team, supporting traditional routing, switching, wireless networking in campus, data centers, and branch locations.
- Develop and maintain automation for network device deployment and routine tasks.
- Participate in regular team and project meetings.
- Participate in disaster recovery preparations and failover testing exercises.
- Participate in vulnerability management and patching for on‑prem and cloud‑based systems.
- Other duties as assigned.

Office/IT – The Team Member regularly stands, sits, talks, hears, sees, reaches, stoops, kneels, and uses hands and fingers to operate computers, keyboards, printers, and phones. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work varied shifts/days in a 24‑hour situation. Regular attendance is required. Exposure to moderate noise, temperature, and light fluctuations.
Ability to work in confined areas and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods. Some travel may be required. Expected onsite 60% of the time.

Salary$93,000 - $127,500 a year
