Overview
System Administrator - Nellis Air Force Base (Onsite) at Dell Technologies. This role is located onsite at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV and supports a Dell Federal Department of Defense Customer location. The team provides technical support and coordinates system integration tasks under the direction of the DoD customer.
What You’ll DoAs a System Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the setup, configuration, maintenance, and security of computing systems used in test environments—particularly those handling classified, sensitive, or real-time mission data. You’ll provide technical and consultative leadership for consulting technical solutions opportunities on a range of complex engagements, focused on an industry or service offering. You will:
- Understand the customer’s strategic, organizational and business challenges and offer solutions related to future business environment and operational objectives
- Provide expertise on technical architectural design, strategies and plans for future solutions; advise on requirements to perform assigned technical implementations
- Share your experience and support less experienced coworkers through formal training or on-the-job mentoring
- Work on problems of diverse scope requiring analysis of information and using analytical and problem-solving techniques
- Work independently, with work being reviewed at critical points
- US Citizen
- Active Top Secret DoD clearance
- CompTIA Security+ certification

- Microsoft Active Directory – Deploy/Manage/Troubleshoot, DS, DNS, DFS, DHCP, GPO
- Microsoft Power Shell – Create/Modify/Execute, Power
CLI integrations - Microsoft MDT / WDS / WSUS
- Microsoft ECM/SCCM – Patch Management
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux – Install/Configure/Maintain, Bash, Ansible, Repos, SSH
- DISA ACAS – Deploy/Configure/Manage Tenable
SC, Nessus, NNM - DISA STIG – Hardening Experience, SCAP, STIG Viewer, Evaluate-STIG
- VMware vSphere – Install/Troubleshoot/Maintain, Horizon/VDI, DVS, vSAN, Automation
- Hands-on experience with Dell Hardware – Power Edge, Power Scale/Isilon, Power Store, Power Switch/OS10, Unity, Vx Rail
- Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to document processes for the customer
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position in Nevada is $107,950 – $139,700.
