Job DescriptionThis role is a great fit for a Web App Developer who enjoys building foundational applications from the ground up. You’ll be a key part of our team, responsible for developing a suite of new planning tools. This is a unique opportunity to build several web applications that will directly impact our business operations.
Job SummaryWe’re looking for a skilled Web App Developer to build a number of new applications, including a critical Range Assortment Planning tool. These tools will replace our current Excel-based processes, providing a user-friendly web interface to display, interact with, and update critical planning data.
Initially, you’ll focus on creating the Range Assortment Planning app, which will read and display data from our Azure Database and Data Warehouse. As the project evolves, you’ll add features that allow users to update master data in our upstream system, Aptos, directly from the UI. You’ll then apply this foundational knowledge to develop other essential planning applications.
Key Responsibilities- Build simple and intuitive web applications from scratch using modern web technologies.
- Connect web apps to an Azure Database and our Data Warehouse to load and display data.
- Create clean, functional user interfaces that allow users to easily view and interact with data.
- Develop and implement features that enable users to modify data in the UI, with changes updating the master data in the Aptos system.
- Work closely with the Chief Planning Officer and the planning team to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Proven experience in web application development.
- Proficiency in Java and modern front-end web technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or similar frameworks).
- Experience with Azure is a plus.
- Familiarity with relational databases, specifically connecting to and querying from them.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an ability to translate business requirements into functional code.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
