- SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑7 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing the following types of duties:
Identifying and resolving problems, troubleshooting cause and providing recommendations for resolution, providing user training on hardware, software, and internet applications; and providing help desk support to users. - EDUCATION: A Master's degree or equivalent degree (such as an LL.B.) in a related field (e.g., Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science); OR 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree. This education must have been in a related field OR must have provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the following fields and must have required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks:
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Technology Management. - COMBINATION: A combination of specialized experience as described in A and graduate education as described in B which when combined, graduated education is in excess of 1 full year.
Applicants must also meet ONE of the following:
- SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑9 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: providing IT customer service and support in troubleshooting, recovering, and resolving recurring software/hardware problems; assisting in installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting commonly used hardware and software systems; assisting in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of networked systems; and testing and implementing an information security program. - EDUCATION: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
- COMBINATION: A combination of specialized experience as described above and graduate education as described above which when combined equal 100% of the requirements. (Only graduate education in excess of 2 full years is…
