• 10-12 years of experience managing Postgres databases. 5 years of experience on the cloud version (preferably AWS RDS), security policy, user authentication, IAM, and database administration.
• Install, configure, patch, migrate, maintain, and upgrade Postgre
  
  SQL and AWS RDS database platforms.
• Working knowledge of EDB, Oracle, SQL Server and AWS day‑to‑day operation on S3 and EC2.
• Implement effective and maintainable database coding practices forming an architectural foundation.
• Experience in Postgres SQL performance improvement, indexing and other optimization approaches.
• Good experience partitioning databases.
• Experience with message queuing, full‑text indexing, and other high‑performance data concepts.
• Experience managing AWS environment and knowledge of related tools.
• Experience in Postgres SQL migration approaches, estimation, and technical management.
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS, SSH access with password and public/private keys.
• Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy or security.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira, Git Hub, Ansible and Terraform.
• Good understanding of CI/CD using Git Lab.
• Good understanding of batch processing and job scheduling automation.
• Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels.
• Troubleshooting skills and ability to evaluate alternative solutions and workarounds.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication, client‑facing problem solving.
• AWS RDS hands‑on experience and capacity planning / performance assessment.
• Strong Postgres/SQL Server DB administration experience in production environments.
• Configuration and support of complex RDS databases in AWS, managing high availability, resiliency, Aurora read replicas and global database.
• Experience managing multiple RDS database versions on large systems.
• Practical experience with monitoring.
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
• Experience using Performance Insights, designing and managing RDS KPIs.
• Working knowledge of Lambda and Python.
• Strong technical and functional experience in Postgre
  
  SQL administration and associated tools such as PgBouncer, PgPool and other binaries.

• Minimum 10‑12 years of Postgres DBA experience with at least 5 years in AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in Linux, SSH key management, and system administration.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Terraform) and version control (Git, Git Hub).
• Strong command of SQL, query optimization, indexing, partitioning and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, Jenkins) and automation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Client‑facing experience and ability to provide solutions.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Salary Range: $95,000—$100,000 a year
