The Manager of Data and Insights role blends hands‑on analytical work with strategic leadership. The manager shapes and executes the data and analytics vision while directly contributing to the design, development, and deployment of complex analytics solutions that drive business results and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership- Actively participate in the execution of the enterprise data strategy, ensuring analytics projects directly support business objectives and operational priorities.
- Lead the Insights Analyst team, providing hands‑on guidance, mentorship, and fostering professional growth through active involvement in project work.
- Personally contribute to the creation and delivery of high‑quality analytics outputs such as complex reports, dashboards, benchmarking tools, predictive models, and data mining initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and adopt emerging market trends, technologies, and best practices in analytics and visualization, implementing innovative solutions that position the organization as an industry leader.
- Serve as a hands‑on strategic partner to Operations, translating business needs into actionable data‑driven strategies and ensuring end‑to‑end project involvement from concept to deployment.
- Lead and directly engage in requirements gathering and stakeholder consultations—especially with Operations—to guarantee that deliverables exceed expectations and drive measurable operational value.
- Lead the identification, mentoring, and support of data champions across departments and functions, ensuring collaboration between Operations, Technology, and Business.
- Champion the use of AI, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), and intelligent systems cross‑functionally to streamline workflows and drive innovation.
- Evaluate and implement modern analytics and AI platforms, in partnership with stakeholders, to enhance the end‑user experience and operational agility.
- Foster a culture of data literacy and enablement through training, workshops, and ongoing support, engaging both Operations and Business teams to ensure adoption and impact across the organization.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics solutions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across all analytics and automation initiatives.
- Lead strategic initiatives to enhance physical security and business operations through data and AI, with a focus on operational impact.
- Drive awareness and facilitate knowledge sharing by guiding BI’s transformation and rebranding efforts.
- Coordinate with field and shared service partners to secure resources and deliver projects that solve real operational challenges.
- Manage initiative timelines, budgets, risks, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational and operational objectives.
- Serve as a key liaison between business units, Operations, and technical teams, translating complex analytics and AI concepts into actionable business insights.
- Proactively manage communications to foster partnership and trust in the Data Strategy and Insights team.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders in formal and informal settings, with a focus on operational outcomes.
- Proven experience in data strategy, analytics leadership, and AI implementation.
- Demonstrated success in managing cross‑functional teams and delivering complex, innovative projects.
- Strong background in business intelligence, data science, and intelligent automation.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, visualization tools, and analytical/modeling software (SQL, ETL, APIs a plus).
- Strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate technical advancements into business impact—especially for Operations.
