Field Engineer – Las Vegas, NV
Contract position (24+ months) for a client data center.
Pay: $22/hr (rate may be higher based on experience). 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts (overtime possible).
Travel: 50-75% (own vehicle required, mileage reimbursement). 300-mile weekly radius.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Field Engineer to resolve hardware and infrastructure issues at the client’s data centers. The role requires hands‑on experience with enterprise systems and deep knowledge of data center operations.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues across servers, storage, networking, and multi‑vendor enterprise systems.
- Perform rack and stack installations, hot swaps of hardware, disk drive and memory replacements.
- Utilize software tools for daily operations and troubleshooting in a data center environment.
- Provide client‑facing support with professionalism.
- Participate in a 45‑90 day training period and work collaboratively during this onboarding phase.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with servers, racks, cables, workstations, routers/switches, and network infrastructure.
- Experience in data center environments highly preferred.
- Strong client‑facing communication skills.
- CompTIA+ certification is a plus.
