Description
The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a balance of technical understanding, strategic planning, and exceptional client communication to ensure successful product implementations and ongoing customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
A strong understanding of project management methodologies, client engagement, and regulatory compliance, particularly in the casino gaming industry is essential to succeed in this position.
- Under general guidance, develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful product implementations, technical feasibility, and exceptional client focus.
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure flawless execution of deliverables and deadlines, within scope and budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
- Understand client needs, address concerns promptly, and provide status updates regularly.
- Ensure all client requirements are documented and incorporated into project deliverables.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, marketing, and support, to align project objectives with business goals in a professional and supportive manner.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
- Report and escalate obstacles to management as needed.
- Identify potential risks and issues early, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution to minimize impact on project timelines.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and scope to prevent scope creep and cost overruns.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements specific to the casino gaming industry.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, plans, and post-launch evaluations.
- Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-launch reviews to identify areas for process improvement.
- Share lessons learned with the team to enhance future project outcomes.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, MS Project, JIRA) with technical understanding of software development and web technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Familiarity with Smart Sheets and other project management tools is preferred but not required. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience managing high-quality client relationships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
- Understanding of casino gaming regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Ability to travel occasionally 10-20% of the time to fulfill client and business needs.
- Must have work authorization documents to work in the United States.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desired. (May substitute relevant work experience in lieu of education.)
