Systems Administrator, Windows Server, IT Infrastructure, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations
- Las Vegas, NV
My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who can work across cloud, virtualization, networking, security, and automation in a software-development environment.
This is not a narrow systems-administration role...
They need someone who can troubleshoot across multiple layers, understand how infrastructure decisions affect reliability and security, and take ownership of the environment rather than simply maintain one piece of it.
What You'll Work On- Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
- VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Network infrastructure, routing, VLANs, firewalls, and security
- Endpoint management and security
- Power Shell scripting and automation
- Windows and Linux server administration
- Dev/Test environment support for software-development teams
- Monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery
- Hands-on Azure and Microsoft 365 experience
- VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Strong Windows infrastructure background
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Power Shell automation
- Windows and Linux server administration
- Ability to troubleshoot across servers, networking, virtualization, and security
- CI/CD or Dev Ops exposure
- Git Hub or Jira integrations
- Docker or Kubernetes
- SQL Server administration
- AI-assisted automation tools
This role fits someone who likes solving infrastructure problems that cross traditional boundaries.
They are not looking for only a VMware administrator, network engineer, or cloud engineer.
They want someone who understands how the pieces work together - and can explain not only what they are doing, but why
.
I like Senior Infrastructure Engineer better than "IT Engineer" here. It will likely attract people closer to what you actually need and helps distinguish it from a general support/sysadmin posting.
