Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and advance enterprise cloud solutions across state government operations. The role focuses on cloud architecture, infrastructure management, security, performance, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Infrastructure as Code, with the ability to guide teams in adopting secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions.

• Provide operational support for cloud platforms, ensuring security, availability, and performance.
• Design and support cloud, hybrid-cloud, and multi-cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture, operations, security, business units, and partner agencies to deliver compliant cloud solutions.
• Evaluate cloud technologies, architecture models, and implementation strategies.
• Monitor cloud standards, procedures, system integrations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to optimize cloud costs and eliminate duplicate tools and services.
• Support cloud-native development, Dev Sec Ops  practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to develop cloud strategies and improve existing services.
• Assist with technical solution planning, implementation, procurement, and delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to staff transitioning to cloud operations.
• Develop project work plans, coordinate technical activities, and document recommendations.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Advanced hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and cloud-native solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
• Experience supporting Dev Sec Ops  practices and cloud-native development.
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze complex business and technical challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to guide technical teams and work with senior stakeholders.
