Litigation Paralegal
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP – Las Vegas, NV
Full-time, mid-senior level
Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 per year
Responsibilities- Draft and edit legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery, Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities, and other pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements
- File and serve motions, briefs, exhibits, appendices, and other documents in state and federal courts, including but not limited to CM/ECF and File & Serve
- Conduct thorough research to support case strategy and cite check legal briefs
- Handle all aspects of electronic discovery, including managing document reviews and productions (loading and coding documents, bates numbering, logging productions, and searching for documents in Relativity or Everlaw database)
- Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial, handling logistics, exhibits, assisting in preparing witnesses and experts, and technology needs relating to same
- Coordinate creation of case management repository for new matters and carry primary responsibility for case file organization
- Organize discovery, research, pleadings, and other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Prepare notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation
- Communicate with clients and counsel to address inquiries and provide case updates, fostering strong client relationships
- Calendar and track case deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate preferred with a minimum of ten to fifteen years’ litigation paralegal experience in a mid or large sized law firm
- Proficiency with File & Serve, CM/ECF, and legal research platforms (Lexis Nexis, Westlaw)
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize project requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a client service focus
