Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance defense and assist attorneys with a variety of tasks, including case management, document preparation, client communications, and court filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and prepare litigation documents including complaints, motions, discovery, TOCs/TOAs, and appellate filings
- File and serve legal documents in state and federal courts (CM/ECF, File & Serve)
- Conduct legal research and cite-check briefs
- Manage full-cycle e-discovery, including document review, coding, bates labeling, production logs, and database searches
- Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial—including exhibit preparation, scheduling, logistics, and technology setup
- Create and maintain case management repositories and organized case files
- Prepare notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
- Calendar and track litigation deadlines across matters
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal with 5+ years of experience. Defense experience and civil litigation are a plus
- Recent experience working in Nevada and familiarity with Nevada rules and procedures
- Proficiency with legal technology and software, including document management systems, and litigation support tools
- Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc
- Highly organized with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
