Position SummaryThis role requires a keen understanding of the gaming industry, contract law, and the ability to manage a variety of commercial agreements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our contracts support our strategic objectives and comply with regulatory requirements. This position will report to the General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including sales agreements, purchase orders, and vendor contracts. Ensure contracts adhere to applicable laws and align with company policies and business objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of gaming regulations and ensure all contracts comply with industry standards. Work with compliance and regulatory teams to address any legal requirements impacting contracts and agreements. Identify and evaluate contractual risks, providing strategic advice to mitigate potential issues. Advise business units on contract implications and ensure understanding of contractual obligations and rights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales and operations teams to provide legal support and ensure alignment in contract execution. Act as a legal resource for internal stakeholders, providing guidance on complex contractual matters.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain organized records of all contracts and related legal documentation. Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any deviations from agreed terms.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, admission to the bar and license in good standing, preferably in Nevada.
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial contract law, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing or gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and regulatory compliance within the gaming industry.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of precision.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
- This is an on-site role in Las Vegas, NV.
