The Las Vegas, NV office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, seeks a Conflicts Attorney to work in the Conflicts Department within the Office of General Counsel. The role reviews conflict check reports and resolves potential conflicts of interest with new hires, ensuring compliance with the firm’s conflicts and risk management policies. No billable hour requirements.
Responsibilities- Review conflict check reports
- Identify, advise, analyze, and resolve potential conflicts of interest
- Collaborate with attorneys to clear conflicts related to hiring of new partners, associates, paralegals, and other firm hires
- Ensure new hires comply with the firm’s conflicts and risk management policies and procedures
- Juris Doctorate degree (JD) and active member of the Bar, in good standing, in the State of Nevada
- At least three (3) to ten (10) years of experience as a Lateral Conflicts Attorney in a large law firm setting, or at least three (3) years as a general Conflicts Attorney with one (1) year of cumulative experience related to the clearance of lateral hires
- Familiarity with the Rules of Professional Conduct
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive data; excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Close attention to detail, collaborative team member, self-motivated, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Experience with Law Time and/or Aderant preferred
