Las Vegas, NV | Salary range: $48,000 – $50,000 per year.

Position

Purpose:

To meet or exceed client expectations with accuracy and proactive solutions, support colleagues across departments, and build strong client relationships.

Tasks:

  • Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand and create supply plans ensuring material availability.
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Define performance metrics for measuring distribution cost, availability, and other supply chain factors.
  • Analyze customer needs to increase service scope, reduce waste, and optimize service.
  • Develop procedures for coordinating supply chain with sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
  • Assist in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers and vendors.
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, provide feedback, and review forecasts or changes.
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
  • Design or implement supply chains supporting business strategies for changing market conditions, new opportunities, or cost reductions.
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Participate in coordinating new facilities implementation.
  • Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
  • Select transportation solutions to maximize economy by consolidating shipments or warehousing.
  • Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
  • Document physical supply chain processes, workflows, cycle times, and responsibilities.
  • Develop forecasts or standard cost lists.
  • Assess material handling equipment needs and staffing levels for loading, unloading, moving, or storing materials.

Work

Activities:

  • Understand and utilize all standard procedures.
  • Generate P.O.D. exception reports for the station.
  • Use exception reports as tracing worksheets.
  • Utilize the PGL phone system and all published resources.
  • Obtain proof of deliveries for all shipments.
  • Provide proof of deliveries, flight information, shipment history, and other required information to clients.
  • Use computer systems for every call received or made.
  • Supply shipment location and status, last action taken, and full history when requested.
  • Follow up on every shipment generated.
  • Recognize routing challenges and address them promptly.
  • Record relevant information in the alert screen memo section.
  • Update routing changes in the alert screen.
  • Accrue accurate cost while protecting client and PGL financial interests.
  • Justify agent charges with special requirement notes.
  • Send preliminary carrier claim information.
  • Generate daily turnover log for coworkers.
Education and Experience
  • 1–3 years logistics services and/or warehouse fulfillment experience.
  • AOG experience (preferred).
  • Hazmat certification (preferred).
  • Industry‑related degree and/or certification.
  • Willingness to work variable schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge
  • Transportation principles and methods for moving freight by air, rail, sea, or road.
  • Customer and personal service: assessing needs, meeting quality standards, evaluating satisfaction.
