Senior Safety Manager – Los Angeles County and Orange County, CA

The Senior Safety Manager is accountable for overseeing safety practices and procedures on large commercial construction projects to deliver high‑quality projects that are on time, on budget, and beyond client expectations. The role manages a team of safety professionals and works hand in hand daily with Project Superintendents, promoting a safety culture and addressing site‑specific concerns.

• Promote and maintain a company‑wide culture of health and safety.
• Assist in planning and conducting training for project personnel; responsible for safety and health in policy, procedures, inspections, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation.
• Prepare a comprehensive Job‑Site Specific Safety Plan for each assigned project.
• Conduct initial safety orientation training for all new field employees and subcontractors.
• Assist the Executive Director of Safety and Quality Assurance/Quality Control or Regional Safety Director on moderately complex technical work in a wide range of safety and health disciplines to achieve compliance with health and safety standards and federal and state regulatory requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of specific government agency requirements.
• Apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of health and safety; determine and develop solutions.
• Monitor and prevent hazards and illnesses in the work area.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
• Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
• Act as a lead role for a team of Safety Managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned and noted in the Corporate Safety Handbook.

• Minimum 7‑10 years of experience as a Safety Manager for a general contractor on fast‑paced, high‑rise construction projects.
• 2‑3 years of experience managing a team of safety professionals.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing multi‑employer worksite.
• OSHA 500 certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Occupational Safety and Health is preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple projects spanning Southern California region (Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County).
• Knowledge and familiarity with construction processes, practices, and procedures.
• Proven ability to adapt behavior or work methods in response to new information or conditions.
• Experience with follow‑up and monitoring of work to ensure quality standards and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and team‑player mindset.
• Salary Range DOE $130,000 – $160,000.
