The Service Delivery Manager oversees daily transit operations for Fixed Route services, ensuring high‑quality service delivery, on‑time performance, employee supervision, and compliance with safety and service standards. The role supports technology implementation, monitors service metrics, and collaborates with leadership to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 management presence to frontline operations staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate daily operations activities and employee performance, including missed runs, on‑time statistics, work hours, customer complaints, attendance, and accident data.
  • Ensure performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations, minimizing liquidated damages and correcting failures.
  • Implement and support business‑critical operations technologies (VDS, Zonar, AVL, etc.) and act as subject‑matter expert.
  • Manage location performance, recommend best practices, train staff on technology solutions, and facilitate implementation.
  • Coordinate dispatching, in‑service monitoring, and turn‑in activities for daily transit operations.
  • Develop manpower requirements for Window and Yard Supervisors and evaluate scheduling patterns.
  • Develop procedure manuals for Window, Yard Supervision, and Drivers; hold routine meetings to address service issues.
  • Complete required daily and weekly reports for company and client to ensure Service Quality.
  • Track and maintain employee attendance using Zonar and VDS systems.
  • Recommend and discipline operations personnel.
  • Inform Division Manager of potential operational risks.
  • Ensure staff training and success, promoting company vision and culture.
  • Maintain positive employee and labor relations through regular engagement and coaching.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist with other area needs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
  • Strong customer service, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence without authority.
  • Knowledge of ADA law and ADA service requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software.
  • Dependable with strong time‑management; able to meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional telephone manners.
Physical Requirements
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day) and walk long distances on uneven surfaces.
  • Push, pull, or lift objects up to 50 pounds; bend, kneel, or crouch as needed.
  • Work in heavy traffic areas; tolerate dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Work flexible hours or shifts as required.
  • Spend long periods sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
Benefits
  • Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per year.
  • Vacation: minimum of two 2‑week periods.
  • Sick days: 5 days.
  • Holidays: 10 days (6 standard + 4 floating).
