Position SummaryThe Assembler focus specializes in the assembly of a wide variety of electronic, electro‑mechanical or measurement products or product components. Determines and follows methods and sequence of operations of different steps involved in the assembly. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro‑mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub‑assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Incumbents who operate automatic or semi‑automatic machines to perform assembly operations should be matched to Machine Operator.
Employees working in technology‑related production roles that are not electronics‑based hardware manufacturing jobs should be matched to Machine Operator. Solar/Alternative Energy companies should match individuals who are assembling individual cells or portions of arrays and panels here. Individuals who are operating large‑scale manufacturing machinery to assemble panels and arrays should be matched to Machine Operator. Incumbents who are assembling test kits or similar groupings of finished items into complete packages should be matched to Package Assembler.
Qualifications
Position Summary:
A Production Test Tech Lead focuses on testing and quality assurance in manufacturing or hardware environments, while a Media Tech Lead oversees technical operations in media production, including broadcast, streaming, or digital content workflows.
- Lead testing operations for electronic or mechanical products during production.
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test equipment and product failures.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product quality.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
- Proficiency in schematics, technical drawings, and test equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Oversee technical infrastructure for media production, including audio, video, and digital platforms.
- Manage media workflows, ensuring smooth operation from capture to distribution.
- Coordinate with creative teams to support production needs.
- Maintain and upgrade equipment, software, and network systems.
- Ensure compliance with broadcast standards and digital media regulations.
- Experience in broadcast engineering, video production, or digital media tech.
- Proficiency in editing software, media asset management systems, and streaming platforms.
- Strong understanding of AV systems, encoding, and file formats.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of emerging media technologies and trends.
Mobility & Stamina:
Standing or walking for extended periods (often 8+ hours per shift); climbing ladders or stairs; bending, kneeling, or crouching to inspect or repair components.
Manual Dexterity:
Using hand tools and test equipment with precision; handling small parts and delicate instruments; typing and data entry for logging test results and documentation.
Strength & Lifting:
Lifting and carrying equipment or components typically up to 25–50 lbs.; pushing or pulling carts or test stations as needed.
