Mix and Prepare Inks for Screen Printing Presses
DescriptionAn Ink Technician at Tee Land is responsible for creating custom colors and ink formulations to meet specific printing requirements. The job description for this role includes:
- Mixing and matching inks to achieve precise color matches, including water-based inks and discharge inks
- Operating ink dispensing systems and other mixing equipment
- Understanding pigments and their interactions with different ink bases
- Creating custom Pantone colors for various printing projects
- Maintaining accurate records of ink formulations and color matches
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of inks and chemicals
- Collaborating with the Prepress Manager to achieve desired printing results
- Performing quality control checks on mixed inks
- Following safety protocols when working with inks and chemicals
The ideal candidate must have excellent color perception, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of different types of inks and their applications in screen printing.
