We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a per-diem basis.

Position Overview:
As a Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner in our liver transplant office, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality care to patients who are undergoing evaluation for liver transplantation, in addition to post-transplant follow-up care. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and lab results review.
• Assist with pre-transplant evaluations and post-transplant management.
• Provide patient education regarding liver transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) in collaboration with the transplant team.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Address patient concerns and follow up on treatment progress.
• Ensure all care is delivered in compliance with applicable guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in transplant medicine, critical care, or hepatology is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to work on a flexible, per-diem schedule as needed.
