The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking an exceptional registered nurse for the Summerlin Hospital Medical Center. Summerlin Hospital is a 496‑bed facility located in Las Vegas with an emergency department, busy maternity unit, Children’s Medical Center, NICU, pediatric ICU, separate pediatric ER, advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology care. The hospital is an accredited chest pain PCI facility, a primary stroke center, and has earned several awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.
ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Lead and support the healthcare team, ensuring patient‑centered care. Oversee and guide employees under your supervision, demonstrating Service Excellence standards at all times.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and completion of a specialty course or equivalent. BSN preferred.
Experience: One year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course.
License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS (adult) certification, current PALS (pediatric) or NRP (neonatal) certification as required by the department. Additional certifications may be required by facility, specialty, or department.
Other: Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessments required by the facility.
Note: An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. The RN graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. The Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.
