Job Summary And QualificationsOur Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Registered Nurse provides care to infants from birth to pediatric patients prior to their 18th birthday, or older if they have a medical/surgical problem, followed or treated by a pediatric specialist. In this role, you will provide the best possible care to each patient based upon their individual needs. We are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

- Provide total patient care during inter-hospital transports.
- Facilitate transfer of patients and complete all transport shifts as assigned, maintaining willingness to participate in outreach activities on behalf of the department/hospital.
- Perform delegated medical functions within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures, and protocols.
- Initiate emergency protocols independently following ACLS, PALS, and NRP guidelines.
- Collaborate with the physician and referral staff to develop an individualized plan of care for the patient.
This position is a Mixed Shift.
Qualifications- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor's degree (or willing to start within 2 years of employment).
- Current Nevada RN license.
- Minimum of five (5) years as an RN with three (3) years of full-time pediatric critical care or neonatal critical care experience.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Trauma Certification.
- Specialty certification for the transport team (e.g., CFRN, CTRN, CCRN, RNC, CEN, CPEN or other related to pediatric, neonatal, and/or transport critical care) and C-NPT required within one (1) year of hire, independently maintained while employed on the transport team. Other certifications and classes as needed per county/agency requirements.
