Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Nurse Coordinator Pediatric Neonatal Transport Team

Location:

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Las Vegas, NV, United States.

Hourly Wage Estimate

$51.46 – $77.20 per hour (typical range for candidates hired). Salary may vary based on experience, skills, and comparison to peers.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
  • Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
  • Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Recommend and implement actions including training, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Ensure proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current Nevada RN license.
  • Minimum 5 years as an RN, with at least 3 years of full‑time pediatric or neonatal critical care experience.
  • Maintain certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and TNCC.
  • Specialty certification required for the transport team (e.g., CFRN, CTRN, CCRN, RNC, CEN, CPEN) and C‑NPT within one year of hire; continuously maintained.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
