Senior Community Health Nurse

The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Senior Community Health Nurse in the Nurse Family Partnership TANF program in the Public Health and Preventive Care Division. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies in this classification for the NFP program for up to four (4) months.

This recruitment will close on or before the date list above, once a sufficient number of qualified applicants have been identified.

Responsible for the coordination of the activities and operations of an assigned Southern Nevada Health District (District) health care program; plans, implements, and evaluates assigned program functions and provides a variety of skilled nursing duties as assigned.

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in nursing or equivalent registered nursing experience.

• Four (4) years of registered nursing experience.
• One year of experience in public health nursing.
• Experience working in a public health, mobile medical care field settings and providing medical care for vulnerable populations or people experiencing homelessness preferred.

• Possession of an appropriate, valid State Registered Nurse license.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid CPR certificate.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid
  
  Nevada driver’s license.

• Prior home visiting experience preferred.
• Prior experience working in the field preferred.
