POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bus Person is responsible to maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, clear and reset tables, and provide efficient support to the bartenders and servers, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for our valued patrons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere for incoming guests
- Collect used glassware, plates, and other dishware from tables and deliver them to the designated area for cleaning
- Ensure the bar counter is kept clean and organized, promptly clearing empty glasses and bar accessories
- Assist the bartenders and servers by delivering drinks to guests, replenishing water glasses, and providing attentive service
- Set up tables with clean glassware, napkins, and utensils following Bleau Bar's service standards
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, assist with seating, and respond to guest requests courteously
- Maintain cleanliness in the bar area, including bar tops, floors, and surrounding surfaces, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with the bartenders, servers, and other staff members to ensure smooth and efficient bar operations
- Support the team during peak hours or special events, adapting to high-demand situations while maintaining service standards
- Assist in restocking the bar with glassware, straws, napkins, and other supplies as needed
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Bus Person or similar role in an upscale bar, lounge, or restaurant is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail to ensure the bar area is immaculate and adheres to high standards
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy trays or bus tubs
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with the bartenders, servers, and guests
- Positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional service to our esteemed guests
- Knowledge of basic bar operations and service etiquette is a plus
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
