Overview

Retail Sales Associate - 2023 at First Cash (Full-Time). This role involves assisting customers, processing sales and loans, and engaging with guests in a pawn store environment. The position offers a base hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

Pay
: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. There is a commission component that can increase earnings based on performance.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales and loans, and resolving inquiries. The associate will work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures in non-management roles.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed.
• Process sales and loan transactions following policies and procedures.
• Handle cash and negotiable items according to policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; maintain a respectful, team-oriented environment.
• Partner with staff to create a positive customer experience; complete required training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and perform duties for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Comfort with working in exterior areas or retrieving products from exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years;
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
