SummaryThe Merchandise Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience, maximizing non‑marijuana sales by delivering efficient, friendly and knowledgeable service, and ensuring the store is neat, clean and well‑presented at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Professionally handle and advise customers of products and services, resulting in the achievement of store sales targets.
- Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
- Recommend merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preferences.
- Work well and support co‑workers to ensure outstanding service and sales.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
- Comply with inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
- Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles as needed.
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non‑disclosure.
- Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be 21 years of age or older. NV State Agent Card Required.
