Retail Account Executive

Description

Qualifications:

• Seeking sales professionals with previous experience working in large organizations (e.g., greater than 5,000 employees) and experience collaborating with product and implementation teams to deliver customer outcomes.

• 8-10 years of consultative sales experience, selling to mid-market retail, consumer goods, or hospitality clients ($1B - $15B in annual revenue), with deep industry knowledge. Experience as a practitioner with a national retailer or large consultancy serving retail clients is a plus.

• Proven record of exceeding sales targets with measurable achievements.

• Experience selling a broad range of solutions: digital, AI/data/analytics, software/SaaS, security, hardware.

• Skilled in developing impactful sales strategies tailored to retail executives, leveraging diverse offerings.

• Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels within client and employer environments.

• Proficient in modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

• Comfortable navigating large, matrixed organizations and startup-like environments with change and ambiguity.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills: clear, concise, persuasive, and attentive listening.

• Capable of strategic and tactical planning to achieve objectives consistently.

Note:

The salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 to $200,000, depending on various factors. The position may be eligible for variable incentives such as bonuses or commissions.

What will you be doing?

The Mid-Market Retail Account Executive (AE) is a strategic, resourceful sales professional responsible for opening doors, building relationships with retail clients, and driving new client acquisition. The role involves understanding client needs, developing account plans, and collaborating with internal teams to support sales efforts. Experience in senior-level consultative sales, especially within retail, hospitality, or CPG sectors, is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute account plans to drive new client acquisition.

• Build and mentor cross-functional teams supporting sales efforts.

• Use sales tools and analytics to track progress and refine strategies.

• Collaborate with channel partners and internal teams to expand client relationships.

• Advise on marketing and resource allocation to maximize reach.

• Articulate WWT’s brand and differentiators effectively.

• Coordinate with strategists, analysts, pre-sales, solutions, marketing, and project teams to drive sales and solutions.
